urrently the shapes are based on the vessel and are informed by architecture and elements in architecture. This includes informal, vernacular and ancient constructions as well as radical, new buildings.
The surfaces on the work consist of several layers and are usually textured and dry. This is seen as a metaphor for the layered lives we all live, just as the layers of paint on old buildings reflect years of human activity and occupation.
